Su Wan, Brashtar: Creating the Languages of Far Cry Primal - Hosting: Andrew Byrd, Breanna Byrd
In this panel, we will explain in detail our incredible journey back in time with Ubisoft's game "Far Cry Primal." We will describe the process of creating two entire languages based off of Proto-Indo-European (the source of languages such as English, Spanish, and Russian), how we trained the actors and worked with the directors and writers off and on set, and what we hope this exposure means for the field of historical linguistics. Additionally, there will be a short lesson in Wenja (the main language of the game) as well as a scene reenactment to show the filming process. - Panel Room (C109)

Last year I performed a speedrun of SotN at Fandom Fest. This year I will be bringing a double-feature event. The Sega Saturn version of the game contains a completely different run of the game, as well as a Saturn exclusive character, Maria, with which I will perform a second full run of the game! Dieselpunk 101 – This is a performance panel featuring John Pyka as “Big Daddy Cool” Johnny Dellarocca. John is the producer and host of THE Dieselpunk Podcast, The Diesel Powered Podcast. He is also a 30-year professional live entertainer specializing in Dieselpunk magic, music and variety. In this interactive panel, Johnny opens with a signature performance of Minnie the Moocher (as BDC) then walks the audience through Dieselpunk, followed by Q&A from the audience. Jonny Frost is a character that appeared in Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo’s 2008 graphic novel, Joker. In the book, Frost is an ambitious up-and-comer in the criminal underworld of Gotham City and becomes the Joker’s personal chauffeur and go-to henchman.

Dickey Beer worked as a stunt performer on Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi He portrayed four different roles which were that of Barada, Sergeant Junkin, a Stormtrooper and a Biker Scout who was tackled by Ewoks. Dickey also was the stunt double for Jeremy Bulloch's Boba Fett, and did the Boba Fett stunts from the Skiff into the Sarlacc. John Morton appeared in A Bridge Too Far (1977), in the 1980 hit sequel film Superman II as an astronaut named Nate, also that year he appeared in Flash Gordon. He portrayed Dak Ralter, Luke Skywalker's Gunner during the Battle of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back.
